Technology and Design at Ashfield Girls’ High School

Welcome to the Technology and Design Department at Ashfield Girls’ High School.  The department staff are very excited by our new facilities which will help promote teaching and learning within Technology and Design.  There are currently two teaching staff and a full time technician to promote Technology and Design within Ashfield Girls’.

Mr Carr is the current Head of Technology.  He has been teaching in Ashfield for 4 years.  He is actively involved in the building of sets for our school productions.  This year’s production is Grease.

Miss J Rees            jrees448@c2kni.net

Miss Rees has been teaching Technology and LLW in Ashfield for 6 years and during this time she has become a dedicated member of the Rock Challenge Team heading up the successful and hardworking Stage Crew.

Mr W Russell          wrussell062@c2kni.net

We are very lucky to have a complete gem in the form of Mr Russell, our hardworking and very supportive technician.  He is an active member of the Rock Challenge Stage Crew Team and has been providing invaluable support to all Technology staff and pupils for 12 years.

Together the Technology Department are working hard to provide all pupils with the opportunity to develop their personal skills and confidence, through experiencing new activities and most importantly having fun!
