Ashfield Girls' High School
Challenging girls today, creating women of value for the future
We live in a media-saturated world. From YouTube clips on our phone, to TV ads and blockbuster movies, posters at the bus stop, the music on our iPod and messages on Facebook- we are surrounded by media messages for most of our waking hours.
Media Studies helps you develop an important set of skills that will help pupils navigate the rest of their education and then, then working life.
Media Studies is taught at GCSE and A Level and at both levels, students are taught the skills which enable them to be creative, evaluative and critical thinkers as well as equipping them with a wide range of practical and ICT skills.
KS4 GCSE Media Studies. We follow the AQA syllabus for GCSE.
KS5 AS / A2 Media Studies. We follow the WJEC syllabus for A Level.
