It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Ashfield Girls’ High School and to provide you with the opportunity to view Ashfield Girls’ stunning, new school building.

A uniquely designed school building it sets the benchmark against which all other schools will be judged.

It is a building which supports and enhances the learning process, anticipates change and inspires unimagined possibilities.

The school is an eco, environmentally friendly energy-saving building which incorporates the use of solar panels to cut heating costs; harvests and recycles rainwater; has PIR controlled light systems and skylights which allow natural light to flood the building.

It is literally for the girls a “State of the Art” learning environment which lends itself to the continued development and use of emerging technologies to benefit learning.

I am delighted to take up the position as only the fifth Principal of this vibrant and dynamic school community.

In Ashfield Girls’, our aim is to enable the girls to develop into confident, articulate and caring young women; young women who will be well equipped to meet the challenges of this constantly changing world. We aim, through the school’s ethos, to ensure that every girl reaches her true potential, achieves her aspirations and goals and, above all, enjoy her time at the school.

The school also offers a wealth of opportunities through an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities. We want to ensure that the girls have a balanced education.
