Introduction

The Modern Languages Department offers French at both KS3 and KS4.

We currently teach French to all girls in Years 8 – 10 and have one GCSE class in Year 11 and one class in Year 12, both studying the new CCEA GCSE specification. Our students are given the opportunity to learn new vocabulary and key structures through a variety of carefully designed, supportive and engaging resources, with a focus on communication skills, developing their understanding of grammatical concepts to help students become more proficient writers in French.
