Parents and Friends of Ashfield Girls' High School are a group of mums, dads, carers and grandparents, past pupils, friends and teachers who meet on a monthly basis during term time. Their aim is to discover what they can do to enhance the experience of everyone who is involved in our school community. They hold fundraising activities in order to support pupils and staff by providing finance for equipment and projects which are beyond the school budget. A few examples of what Parents and Friends have funded include outdoor furniture for the student to sit on at lunchtime, trophies for Prize Day, donations towards the Accelerated Reading Programme and supporting an annual teacher's 'wish list' which allows school to purchase items which will assist in students' learning.

Parents and Friends also share an important role in providing feedback to staff which helps make the school community better for all. Everyone is welcome at the meetings.
